Pray for Norway!

As you probably have heard by now our brothers and sisters in Norway have been hit with a terrible tragedy.

A bombing in the capital of Oslo and a shooting at a youth camp on the island of Utøya have killed a total of 76 people. Anders Behring Breivik, a 32-year-old extremist, has reportedly confessed to the attacks and is reported to have claimed that he was protecting Europe by his attack. He listed Norway’s multiculturalism as one of the motives for his attack.

Attacks like these are always incredibly saddening, especially when the victims primarily consist of our teenagers and children.

1 John 4:8 tells us that Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Our God is not a God who condones killing others because they don’t believe in him. Our God is not a God who wants us to hate! The heart of our Father is to love others! John 13:34 clearly says A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

It is with this thought that we must aim to Share the Glory and not with hatred, violence, and suffering!

Please keep our brothers and sisters in Norway in your prayers now more than ever! Please pray that through this pain and confusion God’s true nature will still shine through! Please pray that the people of Norway will come together and realize that our God is a God of love, not a God of hatred, division, and suffering!

We would love to hear from you! Have you been affected by this personally? What do you think about the whole situation? Let us know in the comments down below!
